Names of rest all cricket teams remained same as the owners stuck to the original identity of their teams. In recent times, some teams unfortunately caught into controversial activities and faced strict action from the higher authorities. In ninth and tenth season of IPL, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings were banned for two years because of the involvement of some of its players in alleged spot-fixing and illegal betting.
